Healing on the Streets 23rd April 2011

We had an amazing time in the sunshine on Saturday morning! Before going out, we assembled, as usual, to praise and worship, only this time we were able to use the Fusion building which has had a refurb and is a super space to have a 'Holy Spirit party'! We were blessed by being joined by new team members as well as more experienced ones and we went out expecting miracles.

In the first hour on the street we prayed for 16 people! As one person left, another came or was waiting. It was ace! Here's some of the events of the morning;

- A team member had prayer for her foot. The pain eased after prayer.
- Another lady had post-operative pain. After prayer the pain reduced significantly.
- A guy stopped and was reading the A-frame. He was a little cynical but friendly. His wife joined us and said she is a believer but he wasn't. She said he had had a chest infection. They were happy too receive a blessing.
- Another team member had tonsillitis and after prayer it eased.
- We prayed favour over a soldier and his friends in training. He was touched by God.
- A lady got into conversation with a team member and got onto the subject of Alpha. She said she would phone the office and come on the next course.
- We prayed a blessing over a guy for his life and his volunteering.
- A lady on antibiotics came with slight dizziness. We prayed against this and for peace. She felt less dizzy and a sense of peace. We told her that she is loved by God and needs to give Him her problems. She agreed.
- We prayed with a team member to bless her life and testimony. She's fab!
- We prayed with a lady who had painful ankles after an operation to cure her twisted feet. After prayer she first felt something different and 50% better and after some more prayer she felt 75% better. More Lord!
- Two ladies came. We prayed against the pain in one lady's shoulder and it felt much better afterwards. Her relative also received prayer - at first she told us about physical ailments and later about a sense of loss and mourning. The Holy Spirit came in power and she released a lot of grief. The pain in her knee went from a 10 to a 5 then almost nothing. She said she would come back in 2 weeks. She was really touched by people caring for her.
- We prayed with a little girl who had had a plaster removed after three breaks. She had been having frequent accidents. We prayed restoration of her arm and an end to the accidents.
- A lady received prayer against arthritis and for a good flight the following day.
- We prayed with another lady. She seemed relieved to have prayed in confidence with another believer.
- Another lady came over to us for an Alpha flyer. She said she and her partner were thinking about it and wanted to read about it. We prayed a blessing over her.
- We prayed restoration over a lovely boy who has been for prayer before.
- A lady with pain, redness and soreness came for prayer after which it was 50% better and less painful.
- A guy let us pray with him against depression, diabetes, liver problems, pancreatic problems, alcoholism, high cholesterol and blood pressure.
- We were able to pray for a team member's Mum who had had back pain. He phoned her later and it felt better.

God is so good. I feel assured that further healing would have happened subsequent to the prayers at the benches and that people would have gone away and thought about what Easter means to them. Praise the Lord!
