To all you amazing Racecourse missioners and supporters,
Today was a great day in the Kingdom. It was our first full return to the Racecourse this year and so many of the regulars we pleased to see us back. We were given our favourite pitch - the place where our first miracles occurred nearly two years ago. Also for the first time, we had a generator which meant that Matt Thomas was able to play Holy Spirit inspired music throughout the morning.
We began by praying for God to make his presence known and for His will to be done on that ground. He is so faithful. By 9' o'clock we'd already prayed for 7 people! Throughout the morning we prayed for or blessed 30 people! That's 30 people whose lives will never be the same again because they have been touched by Jesus! Think of all the families and neighbourhoods that represents!
Those who came for prayer included a lady suffering from the after-effects of a lung infection; another from problems following an Achilles heel operation who had been hospitalised for 6 months and virtually housebound for a year. Jesus met them both really powerfully. Others asked for prayer for bereavement, relationships, failing hip joints, problems at school, depression and several asked for help for friends or relations with cancer. We also chatted to passers by and traders and had the privilege of offering prayer and blessing on the spot, which most received gratefully, including a lovely Orthodox Christian with failing eyesight, people with walking difficulties, and several traders who were happy to have their businesses blessed! One trader in particular loved the music and was really impacted by the Church coming out into the Community. Two ladies who asked for prayer for a friend were given the testimony of a team member, and went away clutching Why Jesus and Mark's gospel. Another has committed to the next Alpha!
We give thanks for all the wonderful opportunities today to share Jesus and His good news. Please pray that all those we met that they would experience their healing miracles in the days and weeks ahead.
And please pray for the next time we are out (15 May) that we would see even more of His kingdom coming to this part of the world, with even more lives changed for ever.
Thank You Jesus!!!!
Love and Blessings,
Rog and Jo
