HOTS 8th-9th April 2011

This weekend we had our termly training session for people new to the Healing on the Streets model of healing prayer. Some of them were part of a youth team heading to Kenya to do some ministry there - a number of us older ones felt a swell of love and joy as we watched the youngsters getting hands on and taking authority in Jesus' name over illnesses. It was truly wonderful. Others of us were either from Trinity or other churches as far afield as Maidstone in Kent! We had a fab evening and we wer able to pray against back troubles; the after effects of a ministroke; deafness; a skin disease; and arthritis -
Our 'guinea pig's' legs came back into alignment and his back was 50% better, he said. You could see the presence of the Lord fall on him. More Lord!
The lady who's arthritic hands were prayed for was able to say that they didn't hurt after prayer. Praise God!

The following morning a HOTS team went onto the High Street to pray for anyone who wanted prayer. It was a glorious day and I know at least two people who came away looking a bit browner! We prayed for the following people:
- A guy who had a thrombosis in his ulcerated right leg had pain before prayer, but none afterwards! We also prayed for his other issues and know that God is at work there.
- A lady in a wheelchair came. She had ME and sore feet. We were able to agree with her that it may or may not be the ME as the symptoms are somewhat diverse, but we were also able to tell her testimonies of the healing of ME. When we prayed she felt 'warmth, peace and light'. She wanted to receive love and we believe she did. She also spoke about coming back to church!
- We prayed for a number of team members with problems including a guy with pain in his wrist which went after prayer, and a team member's uncles.
- A lady with a problem with alcohol came. She was very angry, but as we just held her in God's love she wept. She was still angry but I know she had felt the Lord's touch.
- Another lady came for prayer against a cough she has had for 4 years. She has links to HOTS in Devon and felt refreshed and blessed by the prayer she received. It was an unexpected pleasure to meet her.
- We prayed by proxy for a little girl who has been suffering from what appears to be a debilitating virus. As a team we have been praying and fasting for her. Can I ask you, as you read this, to mention her to the Lord? Bless you.

So a brilliant weekend in which God really moved and touched many people. The next one is on Easter Saturday - what an amazing time to bring the Lord to the people of Cheltenham as they look forward to chocolate. Let's bring them more to look forward to!!
