Street Teams testimony from 22nd June

Gabrielle Hale (Street Teams member) writes of her experience on Monday night:

Monday evening’s “street teams” was extremely moving this week. As usual we set off armed with sandwiches, tea and coffee (not forgetting the Holy Spirit!). We sat down with one of our regular street friends’ Mel, outside Tesco’s. Talking to her was a young, homeless girl of seventeen by the name of Charley. I was aware of how very vulnerable she was and began silently praying for her.
To begin with she kept her back to me and seemed quite suspicious of us. After a few minutes I began asking her a string of questions to which she answered abruptly at first, and then more openly. We literally saw her melt and soften. She explained that she had been using heroin for seven months and that she did it in order to blot out the pain she is in.
When Mel left, Charley stayed behind to chat. She had visibly been limping due to some severe blistering on her foot. Chris offered to pray and after a little persuasion she agreed. Jesus met with that dear girl in a very special way and healed her foot. Moreover He showed her that she was special to Him. Her expression was noticeably lighter after being prayed for and there was a genuine excitement over what had happened. I could not hold back the tears as one very fragile and broken life had a real encounter with our wonderful God.
