Healing on the Streets 8th October 2011 - Our 3rd Anniversary

This weekend was a wonderful celebration for us as we enjoyed our 3rd anniversary doing Healing on the Streets (HOTS) in Cheltenham. Most of the church was being used on the Saturday morning by the Single Parents' Fair, but we found a lovely cosy space in the newly decorated Garage which is intended for use by Street Teams and the people they minister to - its a great space and we had an amazing time of prayer, spending time praying and prophesying over 6 of the team before praying together and going out onto the streets. During the the morning we were encouraged to see two members of the senior leadership team & to eat cake!

We prayed for
  • a team member with a blocked ear. After prayer it was a bit better.
  • A lady with a lingering virus.
  • A lady who is on life support and the diagnosis is expected to be blood cancer. Her mother's friend brought the prayer request to us and I pray that the expected diagnosis will be turned over and that she will be healed.
  • We prayed with a lady who had a floating knee cartiledge.
  • We spoke to a lovely lady who's Muslim sister in Australia had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. We were able to tell her that God loves all His children the same and she was keen that we pray in her absence and break the untruths said over her.
  • We spoke to someone known to one of us who had a sore knee. As she walked off we prayed healing over the knee.
  • We were blessed to be able to pray for a lovely young lady against a sore throat and tight shoulders.
One of our team also spoke to a Buddhist guy who was happy to receive prayer & said he would come back when he had more time.

After a fab Saturday, we were able to share a celebratory lunch together on Sunday with some of the team members and their families. It was lovely to be able to talk about healings and God moments over the three years and what God might do in the future. We wait in expectation - thanks God!
