Healing on the Streets 9th October 2010

Happy Birthday HOTS! It was our second birthday (or anniversary) on Saturday - two years of going into the High Street to pray for people. We've gathered some amazing testimonies over that time and this Saturday we were able to add to them. We had people waiting for us when we arrived and we kept busy all morning - it was absolutely amazing. The following are some of the highlights, but by no means all that happened.
  • A lady with problems with bi-polar disease felt a 'fog' was getting in the way of her praying, studying and sleeping, but after prayer she said she felt the fog was lifting.
  • We prayed for sisters, one of whom had sickle cell aneamia. Their faith in God's ability to do all things was touching.
  • A gentleman came with various physical ailments, some of which gave him pain. He stayed at the benches for quite a while talking over a number of issues and really off-loading. His main need was obviously for someone to talk to. Afterwards, when he got up, his pain was gone. Praise God!
  • A lady came who'd had prayer with her husband about a year ago. The husband had become a Christian on the benches. She came for prayer this time for her grandson who has epilepsy as a side effect of medication in the past for cancer.
  • A guy had prayer for his knees. Afterwards he said they felt warm and 'swirly'.
  • A lady had prayer against a sprained wrist which had made it virtually unusable. After prayer she was able to lift her handbag - something she'd been unable to do previously.
  • The Spirit of God really touched a lady who came for prayer for chest problems. She was visibly moved as the love of the Father was prayed over her.
  • We prayed for a lady's pain in the neck - and it left her!
  • We prayed for someone else's knee pain and it eased.
  • A lovely couple came to us. The lady received prayer for her back and hips and she felt they were looser afterwards. The man had prayer for his knees and felt heat and tingling and an improvement in them. They both intend to come back to let us know how they get on.
  • We prayed for a lad who attends Trinity to combat a virus which had given him coldy symptoms and a sore eye. After prayer, his eye no longer hurt.
  • We have been praying for a man's hands which have had a chemical burn. He came again this Saturday and the improvement is quite marked.
  • A lady came for Alpha information. She wants to come on the course in January. She first came into contact with us a year or so ago when she asked about the PA system and she told us about her involvement in 'alternative therapies'. We really believe God has been working in her heart & life.
So, that's a few of the 22 or so people we met on Saturday and their meetings with God on the benches by HMV. Jesus really is making himself known to the people of Cheltenham and its so exciting being a part of it. If you would like to get involved, our next training evening is on Friday 22nd October at Trinity House at 8pm - just let us know if you plan to come - we 'd love to see you.

God bless you all

Alison
