Story from Saturday 4th July, HOTS

Jude Green (Healing on the Streets team member) writes of 4th July:


On Saturday we prayed for a lovely lady called Ruth who was suffering with MS. Her symptoms were pain in her legs, lower back and arms, and a buzzing in her hands. She said she was also suffering in her mental state as a result of having to cope with the effect the disease was having on her body. Four of us began to pray for Ruth and God met her. You could see the peace of Jesus resting on her. Then we asked her what was happening and she said the pain and buzzing hadn't gone. She started to tell us that she was an atheist/agnostic, and as she was saying this, we began to pray specifically for the buzzing and commanded it to stop. To her surprise (and our excitement), the buzzing stopped instantly! She lingered to chat with team members long after we'd finished praying, and she and her boyfriend decided to go on the next Alpha Course. What an amazing God we have! As Roger (team member) commented: she might say she doesn't believe in God, but He says "I believe in you."
